Australia’s biggest packaging show opens in Sydney today with the latest in wrapping, machinery, coding, labelling and weighing technology on show.
This year’s show features more than 350 and over 1200 brands from the processing, packaging, materials, components and materials handling sectors – with more than 6000 visitors expected to attend.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see new and innovative products from the global processing and packaging market.
To be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from now until Friday, the four-day show will feature more international exhibitors and visitors than ever before.
This includes Italy, France, The Netherlands, UK, USA, Japan and Germany.
At AUSPACK 2017, global and local robotics and automation experts will present the latest dramatic advances in robotic technology and intelligent automation across processing and packaging.
Among the exhibitors to look out for include Scott Automation & Robotics (Stand 250), Robotic Automation (Stand 266), Kuka Robotics (Stand 53); Foodmach (Stand 260 ) and ABB (Stand 502).
Global leader in collaborative robot development, Universal Robots (UR) has tied up a new distributorship deal with AUSPACK exhibitor Foodmach (Stand 260), who will showcasing a number of UR cobots in action.
Foodmach will feature a UR10 cobot performing palletisation, depalletisation and label application duties.
Robot Technologies-Systems Australia (RTA) will be showcasing the following robotics systems at AUSPACK:
- Kawasaki YF03 Hi-Speed Precision ‘Pick and Place’ Robot with vision system
- Kawasaki dual arm Scara duAro collaborative robot

And SMC Australia will have on show its recently launched SiF400 Smart Innovation Factory training system and product design that is optimised to make a seamless changeover to Industry 4.0 framework.
And as an exhibition first for Australia, visitors will be greeted at registration by a robot who will answer typical enquiries about location of exhibitors stands, location of meeting rooms, eating and restroom facilities, shuttle bus pick-up points and times, educational and networking event timetables.
