Bio Robotics Design Lab at Singapore University of Technology and Design has an opening for highly motivated and skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join marine robotics research project. The project is headed by Prof. Pablo Valdivia y Alvarado and a group of researchers at SUTD.
The position is available from August 1, 2018 or as soon as possible hereafter.
*Job Description, Responsibilities and Skills*
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Masters' Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Required Skill(s): Solidworks, CAD, Robotics, low power electronics, PCB Design, 3D printing, Embedded Systems.
Develop mechatronic systems for bio inspired marine robots for field deployment including mechanical design, embedded system development, PCB design, firmware development and testing.
Working knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS), RTOS, I2C, serial communication protocols, C/C++/Python programming.
Excellent with Solidworks designs, tolerance specifications, DFM, DFA methods.
Proficient in electronic design software preferably Altium Designer.
Preferably Entry Level specialized in Engineering - Mechatronics / Electronics or equivalent.
Great technical writing and communication skills.
Have passion towards building robots.
