AUSPACK 2019, which wrapped up in Melbourne last week, was the biggest, most successful show in its 34 year history – with record visitor numbers.
AUSPACK 2019, the southern hemisphere’s leading packaging and processing event, featured more than 350 exhibitors with expert speakers from across the globe.
The inaugural Business and Industry Conference attracted more than 300 delegates to discuss the industry’s main issues, challenges and opportunities.
Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), including packaging robotics and automation played a key role in this year’s exhibition.
Leading robotics specialists including ABB Australia, FANUC, FESTO, HMPS, Robotic Automation, Scott Automation and Robotics, Universal Robots, Reynolds Automation Engineering, Romheld Automation, SICK and Robopac showcased their latest IIoT solutions for the food, beverage and packaging industries.
Award winners announced
The APPMA Awards of Excellence was held in conjunction with the show to recognise the industry's top achievers.
The theme for the evening was ‘sustainability’ – a key issue now facing the packaging industry. The APPMA Scholarship was also announced during the Awards Ceremony.

Other highlights included the first ever NextGen Breakfast Forum, followed by two RMIT lectures taking place on the show floor.
More than 60 students attended the lectures to learn more about the industry.
