LIVE: New Frontiers in Packaging Print is back.

The annual conference, hosted by Print21 and PKN Packaging News, for the packaging print community, will be held in Sydney on August 12.

This not-to-be missed event looks at the trends and technology driving the dynamic printing sector. It examines new developments in printed packaging from the perspective of designers, brand owners and printers.

Now in its second year, the forum features a stellar line-up of speakers and panellists.

Top creatives Annette Harcus of Harcus Design and Mikey Hart of Hulsbosch will share their insights on design directions informing brand owners' packaging choices and print executions. Steve Jackson, executive director of Schawk will also weigh in on this topic, exploring colour and other design parameters.

Campbell Arnott's director of Packaging Asia Pacific, Liza Vernalls, will discuss how this iconic brand owner is increasingly using the printed pack to build brand engagement, with case studies of recently launched products sporting special print executions.

Taking a close look at the technology driving the print industry

Also, Jessica Simes, co-owner of Brewtopia, will reveal how this e-commerce drinks business is delivering an end-to-end solution for personalised beverages. Digital printing is integral to the process, and Simes, who is also the recently appointed head of marketing at Labelmakers, will explain how the two companies are partnering to expand the scope of their respective market offering.
