The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has released its provisional program for the biennial 2020 AIP Australasian Packaging Conference in Melbourne in April.
Carrying the theme Packaging: Fit for the Future, the conference includes 60 speakers from nine countries across two days.
The packaging industry is facing many challenges with global plastic pollution and recycling issues and transformational changes to value and supply chain models.
Such issues have put the industry under a negative spotlight with government and consumer groups.
Packaging companies, manufacturers and retailers must now re-think their approaches.
Strategic changes are needed to address the challenges and meet global and domestic Sustainable Packaging, 2025 National Packaging Targets and transform supply chains.
According to the AIP. now is the time for the industry to collaborate, share ideas, success stories and openly discuss these challenges.
Most importantly, industry must work collectively to meet global targets.
