Robots are going to do many things for us in the future, including taping things.
US engineering firm Eckhart has partnered with 3M to develop an automated taping system. The system relies on an advanced collaborative robot to lay 3M tape on any part or surface and “create die-cut pieces and extended liner tabs.”
