Meet the RAVE Robot: a machine that can perform 2000 COVID-19 tests per day per unit – about four times more than other systems.
Developed by Singapore researchers, the robot can move tubes, transfer liquids with pipettes, and scan barcodes.
A*STAR, which has already launched the Rapid Automated Volume Enhancer (RAVE)
robotics lab system in three major hospitals in Singapore, says it can improve efficiency and reduce manpower and cost by half.
Also, the RAVE machine reduces human error and risk of lab infection.
