Ecovacs Robotics, a global leader in home robotics, has launched its most advanced AI-driven robot vacuum cleaner – the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI.
This new model features an integrated and proprietary Artificial Intelligence technology for enhanced obstacle identification and avoidance.
It also offers a new level of laser-based mapping and navigation performance, with three hours of battery life.
And an integrated camera can stream on-demand video to monitor the device when users are not on-site.
The newest DEEBOT comes with the OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System included.
It features Ecovac’s optimised AIVI™ (Artificial Intelligence and Visual Interpretation)
Technology and “TrueMapping” mapping and navigation technology to detect and avoid common objects in its path.
Delivering greater precision
The combination of these features results in a robot which can map the home environment much faster, and with greater precision than current platforms, the company says.
“The DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI’s ability to recognise and respond to objects and obstacles in the environment around it is a game-changer when it comes to robotic cleaners,” says Karen Powell, Head of Ecovacs Robotics for Australia and New Zealand.
“Users can now leave the home cleaning to their automated devices with unprecedented levels of trust that it will not get stuck.
“Add in the OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System and features such as Multi-Floor Mapping, aerospace standard TrueMapping technology and an impressive run time, and this robot is perfectly designed for traditionally large Australian homes.”
Features include:
- Latest optimised AIVI technology – sophisticated obstacle avoidance
The DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI can automatically recognise objects including shoes, charging docks, cables, clothes, and socks to avoid obstacles and reduce the robot’s risk of getting stuck by 60%when compared to earlier models.
- OZMO simultaneous vacuuming and mopping
Simultaneous 2-in-1 vacuuming and mopping functionality can remove up to 99.26% of bacteria. With advanced carpet detection, the DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI will also automatically avoid carpet when mopping.
- TrueMapping technology
TrueMappingcombines precision laser technology and advanced dToF (direct time of flight) sensors to map your home 4x faster than standard laser mapping. The new DEEBOT has the ability to detect a distance 2x further away, and the ability to detect objects down to a millimetre tall. Laser mapping works in the dark so you can clean any time.
- On-demand video manager
DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI features a in-built on-demand Video Manager function to allow home monitoring. Users can check in on their pets, kids and home areas and appliances when out and about.
Pricing and availability
The DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI with the OZMO Pro Oscillating Mopping System included is available from JB Hi-Fi for an RRP of $1299.
More retailers, products and accessories from the DEEBOT OZMO T8 family will be announced later this year.
