The 2017 Sydney China Business Forum to be held in Sydney next month will explore how Australian and Chinese companies can capitalise on China’s digital revolution.

To be presented by the University of Sydney’s China Studies Centre, the Forum will feature keynote speakers from China and Australia who will provide valuable insights into China’s digital transformation.

Attendees can learn how robotics is impacting on the ‘Made in China 2025’ program and the future.

They will also be alerted to the risks of doing business with China in the area of artificial intelligence.

It’s no secret that China is dramatically transforming its economy through technology and digitisation.

World leader in artificial intelligence

As a share of GDP, China’s internet economy now exceeds those of the United States, France, and Germany. When China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba was floated on the New York Stock Exchange in 2014, it was the largest IPO in history.

In July this year, the Chinese Government laid out plans to become the world leader in artificial intelligence by 2030 and build an industry worth US$150 billion.

At the Forum attendees can gain knowledge to better meet market demands and will learn how to work with Chinese businesses and attract investment.

• Bruce Ren – Chief Strategy Officer for UBTech, China's largest consumer humanoid robotics company. (Includes a UBTech robots demonstration)
• Adrian Turner – CEO of Data61, a CSIRO entity and the largest data innovation group in Australia.
• Liu Feng, General Manager, Smart City product line ZTE Corporation, a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company.
• Justin Gong, Co-Founder of XAircraft, one of the world’s largest drone companies.
• Nicolas Chu – CEO of Sinorbis, an international company that has revolutionised the way western organisations do digital marketing in China through cloud-based software. 
• Leading representatives from Chinese and Australian companies working in the digital economy

The 2017 Sydney China Business Forum is supported by the City of Sydney, PwC, China Construction Bank, Reginsun Group and the University of Sydney’s Confucius Institute.
